Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Spread Joy Card

Hello Stampers & Crafters – Happy Tuesday! Today I’m sharing the second card from this week’s Weekly Card Class To-Go, and this one is full of charming details and cozy, earthy colors. I used the Sweet Bugs Bundle along with the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper to create a playful yet grounded card design that’s perfect for so many occasions. Sweet Bugs Spread Joy Card Details

The color palette for this card includes Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, and Crumb Cake, with a subtle dash of Secret Sea. These warm tones pair beautifully with the whimsical bug imagery and mushroom details.

I began by mounting a patterned piece of Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper onto a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock. Then adhered it to the card base. I wrapped the Old Olive Speciality Rickrack Ribbon around the smaller pattern of DSP and adhered it with Stampin’ Seal. Next, I mounted another pattern of the DSP onto another Cajun Craze panel and layered it onto the card front for added dimension.

To bring the focal elements to life, I die cut Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze cardstock using the mushroom dies. I also die cut the ladybug directly from the designer series paper using the coordinating die. For the sentiment, I die cut Basic White cardstock with the Words of Beauty Tag Die. Then I stamped the greeting in Cajun Craze Ink.

I adhered the small mushroom, ladybug, and sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The larger mushroom was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To finish the card, I fussy cut a tiny bee from the designer paper and added a few Cajun Craze and Gold dots to the front for a touch of sparkle.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set in Cajun Craze Ink. Then I stamped the mushrooms in Tuxedo Black Ink. Next I colored it in with Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
