Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Hello Card

Today I’m sharing the first card in this week’s Card Class To Go, featuring the adorable Sweet Bugs Bundle. This cheerful handmade card is full of soft color, texture, and sweet details that make it perfect for sending a friendly hello.

For this card, I used a color palette of Petal Pink, Old Olive, and Flirty Flamingo. I started by embossing a panel of Old Olive cardstock with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder. This added subtle texture and interest to the background before adhering it to the card base.

Next, I cut strips of Cute As A Bug Designer Series Paper and layered them across the embossed panel. These patterned strips add a playful touch and help ground the focal image.

For the focal point, I die cut two Everyday Arches, one from Petal Pink cardstock and one from Basic White. I stamped the sentiment onto the Basic White arch using Old Olive ink, then layered it onto the Petal Pink arch for a soft, layered look.

On a separate piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flower, ladybug, and grass images using Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then die cut them using the coordinating dies. The images were added to the arch using Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth.

I popped the entire arch piece up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished the card with a few Muted Palette Dots in Petal Pink and a double bow tied with Old Olive Baker’s Twine.
