Stampin’ Up! Sunset Coast Retirement Card

Happy Monday Stampers & Crafters! This week’s Card Class Kit To Go features the beautiful Sunset Coast Bundle paired with the stunning Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper. For my first project, I created an easy Book Bind Fun Fold card that looks impressive but comes together quickly. Check out my Sunset Coast Retirement Card!

The vibrant sunset scene from the Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper creates the perfect backdrop for this retirement-themed card. The rich colors of the paper combined with the sailboats and soaring birds make it feel like a peaceful evening by the water.

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base and created the book bind section along the left side of the card. I layered two coordinating patterns from the Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper onto the front panel and binding panel. To enhance the book bind effect, I wrapped Hydrangea Hue Bordered Ribbon around the binding and secured it with a knot.

Next, I stamped the sailboats from the Sunset Coast Bundle in Tuxedo Black Ink directly onto the scenic paper. I then die cut the birds from Basic Black cardstock and adhered them to the sky for added movement and dimension.

For the greeting, I stamped the “Happy Retirement” sentiment in Blueberry Bushel Ink onto Daffodil Delight cardstock. After bannering both ends, I attached it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the design, I added several Sunset Sparkle Sequins for a touch of shimmer. This card is a wonderful example of how beautiful designer paper can become the focal point of your project while still showcasing the coordinating images and sentiments from the Sunset Coast Bundle.
