Stampin’ Up! Summer Happiness Summer Fun Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday! Nothing says summer quite like bright colors, sunshine, and tropical accents! This week’s second Card Class Kit To Go project combines all three for a cheerful handmade card that is full of texture and dimension. Check out my Summer Happiness Summer Fun Card.

Summer Happiness Summer Fun Card Details

My color palette features Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, and Crushed Curry. These colors create a fresh and playful look that perfectly complements the Summer Happiness Bundle and coordinating Summer Happiness Washi Tape.

I began with a Coastal Cabana card base. Next, I embossed both Basic White and Coastal Cabana cardstock using the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder. The embossed Basic White panel became the background. Then I layered the embossed Coastal Cabana panel onto Strawberry Slush cardstock before adhering it to the card front.

The star of this design is the beautiful Summer Happiness Washi Tape. I applied the washi to Basic White cardstock before die cutting the images with the coordinating dies. This simple technique creates colorful, perfectly detailed embellishments with very little effort.

The main image panel was layered onto Strawberry Slush cardstock and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana Ink on a Nested Essentials die-cut label. Finally, I added the die-cut flowers and pineapple to frame the greeting. Don’t forget a little “bling” I added a few Sunset Sparkle Sequins to finish the card front off!

For the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Splash & Relax Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana Ink. Then I added a few more die cuts from the Summer Happiness Washi Tape!
