I’m so excited to share the first card in this week’s Card Class To-Go, featuring the Hugs For Love Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This card is perfect for sending warm wishes and a “BIG Hug” to someone special. My Hugs For Love Big Hug card design showcases a sweet and cheerful color palette and lots of texture.
This week’s class focuses on warmth, love, and heartfelt sentiments, making it perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or simply letting someone know you care. Each card design is easy to assemble, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced crafters.
Hugs For Love Card Details
My card base is Petal Pink, reflecting a soft warm base that sets the tone for the card. I paired it with Flirty Flamingo which provides a brighter pop of color to add vibrancy and frame the design.
I used the Country Lace Designer Series Paper, which complements the theme with its delicate floral and lace-inspired patterns. The patterned panels create a clean and elegant layout while adding depth to the card.
The sentiment “Sending You A BIG Hug” is the star of the card! I used one of the frame stamps from the Hugs For Love Bundle and punched it with the To The Point Label Punch. Then I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo Ink to add a bold contrast to the soft background. Of course you can’t forget your embellishments. I used Petal Pink Diagonal Trim to wrap around the Flirty Flamingo panel. Then I tied a double bow with the Flirty Flamingo Bakers Twine. Lastly I added a few Adhesive Backed Dots for Days to the front!
I finished off the inside by stamping a sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp set in Flirty Flamingo Ink. Added a few heart images stamped in Petal Pink Ink. And finished it off by adding some of the same Country Lace Designer Series Paper!
