Happy Monday Stampers & Crafters! I’m so late with some of my posts from last week so I’m trying to get caught up now LOL! All last week I featured the Cake Celebrations Bundle for my weekly Card Class Kit To Go! And the good news is I’m extending the class to go through the rest of this week! Here is my Cake Celebrations Birthday Card and I geared it towards a more masculine audience although it could go either way!
Cake Celebrations Birthday Card Details
My card starts with Crumb Cake card stock. I then embossed a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder. Next I die cut Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock with the Deckled Rectangle Dies.
Then I die cut Country Woods Designer Series Paper with the coordinating dies to make the cake and the cake plate. Next I die cut Early Espresso card stock with the “frosting” dies.Then I adhered the frosting to the cake pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I also die cut Gold Foil Sheet with the “banner” die.
I adhered all the elements to the Crumb Cake panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso Ink on a scrap of Country Woods Designer Series Paper and fussy cut it out. I adhered the Crumb Cake panel to the Early Espresso panel, then adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I adhered the sentiment to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly I tied a bow with the Gold Twisted Thread. Don’t forget your “bling” – I added a few Gold Texture Adhesive Backed Dots!
