Stampin’ Up! Summer Happiness Z Fun Fold Card

TGIF Stampers & Crafters! Welcome to the very first Fun Fold Friday With Ann! I’m thrilled to begin this new weekly series where I’ll share a variety of fun fold cards every Friday along with a FREE PDF Tutorial. My goal is to inspire you with creative folds that look impressive but are simple enough for anyone to make.

This week’s project features the cheerful Summer Happiness Bundle combined with the gorgeous Beach Walk Designer Series Paper. Bright colors, refreshing summer drinks, and sunny sentiments make this card perfect for birthdays, thinking of you cards, or simply sending a little sunshine.

Summer Happiness Z Fun Fold Card

My card begins with a Daffodil Delight card base that creates the fun Z Fold design. Measurements and details are in the PDF below! To decorate the folds, I layered three coordinating patterns from the Beach Walk Designer Series Paper, giving the card plenty of bright summer personality while allowing each section of the fold to stand out beautifully.

For the focal point, I layered narrow strips of Beach Walk Designer Series Paper with a strip of Pool Party cardstock onto a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Extraordinary Life Stamp Set in Pool Party Ink before matting the panel onto Daffodil Delight cardstock.

The refreshing summer drinks were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored using Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Timid Tiger, and Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blends. After die cutting them with the coordinating dies, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to create extra depth and dimension.

Inside the card, I stamped the sun image in Daffodil Delight Ink. Then I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party Ink to complete the design. The inside panel is positioned so the front fold beautifully frames the greeting when the card is closed. Now don’t forget your “bling” I added a few Sunset Sparkle Sequins to the front panel for extra pop!
