Stampin’ Up! Stitched Stocking Merry Christmas Card

Hello Stampers & Crafters! Christmas cards don’t have to be complicated to make a big impact! This second card in my Stitched Stocking Card Class To Go combines beautiful texture, traditional Christmas colors, and a charming patchwork stocking that reminds me so much of handmade quilts. Stitched Stocking Card Details

One of my favorite details is the way the patterned paper from the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper creates the look of quilted fabric on the stocking. Paired with the embossed background and stitched ribbon, this card feels warm, cozy, and full of Christmas charm.

My card begins with a Thick Basic White Card Stock base topped with a layer of Real Red Card Stock embossed using the Candy Cane Mini Embossing Folder for wonderful texture.

The focal point is created by die cutting a large stocking from Basic White Card Stock before layering a smaller Real Red stocking on top. I then die cut another stocking from the beautiful A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper, trimmed several sections, and layered them onto the red stocking to create a quilt-inspired design. Everything was adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue before popping the stocking up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Real Red Ink, fussy cut, and added with Dimensionals for extra dimension. To finish the card, I tied a bow using the Real Red & White Stitched Ribbon and added an Adhesive-Backed Mini Christmas Button for just the right touch of festive sparkle.

For the inside I added a strip of the DSP and stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink!
