Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes Happy Birthday Card

Happy Monday Stampers & Crafters! There’s just something about soft colors, pretty texture, and oversized sentiments that makes a Birthday Card feel extra special — and this week’s Card Class Kit To Go featuring the Words & Wishes Bundle is full of all of that crafty goodness! Words & Wishes Birthday Card Details

For my first card, I paired Basic White, Hydrangea Hue, and Barely Blush for a sweet and elegant birthday design that feels soft, feminine, and happy. The large layered sentiments from the Words & Wishes Bundle really steal the show and make this card pop right off the front!

I started with a panel of Barely Blush cardstock layered onto Hydrangea Hue cardstock. I embossed the combined panel using the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder to add subtle texture and detail. Next, I added a strip of Hydrangea Hue cardstock across the center and wrapped the Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon around the panel, securing it with Mini Glue Dots before adhering everything to the card base.

The sentiments were created by die cutting the bubble shadow dies from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and layering the Basic White sentiment die cuts on top using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the layered sentiments to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth and dimension.

To finish the card, I added a few 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies for the perfect touch of sparkle and “bling.”

For the inside of the card, I added a strip of embossed Hydrangea Hue cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Hydrangea Hue Ink to coordinate with the front design beautifully. This card is soft, elegant, and surprisingly easy to recreate — exactly the kind of handmade Birthday Card that makes someone feel extra loved!
