I’m continuing to craft and create with the Hooray For Surprises Bundle. Today I created this Hooray For Surprises Birthday Card. I just love the interactive cards you can create with this bundle!
Hooray For Surprises Birthday Card Details
My card starts with Pool Party card stock. Here’s the tricky part …. I used the long pull die to die cut the perforated portion on Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. I actually lined up a Basic White card stock the same size as the DSP and ran it through the Cut N Emboss machine. That way I created a “template”
Next I lined up the template on Azure Afternoon card stock and stamped the sentiment (you’ll see at the end) with VersaMark Ink and embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then adhered the Lighter than Air Designer Series Paper to the Azure Afternoon panel.
Then I stamped the cake in Azure Afternoon, Fresh Freesia and Flirty Flamingo Inks and die cut them with coordinating die. Next I die cut the flowers out in Azure Afternoon, Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party card stock. I also added white Classic Matte Dots to the flowers. Then I adhered them as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I die cut Basic White card stock with the 3rd smallest Deckled Rectangle Dies. Then I stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon Ink. TIP: I covered the bottom portion of the sentiment with a sticky note because I only wanted the Hooray portion of the sentiment! I wrapped Flirty Flamingo Bakers Twine around the panel three times and tied a bow. Then I adhered the cakes with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the panel. I adhered the panel to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
