Today I’m sharing the third and final card in this week’s Card Class Kit To Go featuring the Fragrant Layers Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This soft and elegant floral design is the perfect way to send a thoughtful handmade note.
I CASEd this card from the talented Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty and made a few simple changes to make it my own. I love the clean layers, soft colors, and delicate details that make this card feel fresh and timeless.
Fragrant Layers Note Card Details
This card starts with Thick Basic White cardstock for a crisp and sturdy card base. I die cut Basic White cardstock using the frame flower die. This creates the beautiful open floral frame. Then I die cut Pretty In Pink cardstock with the coordinating flower die and Pool Party cardstock with the three leaf dies.
Once all the pieces were die cut, I adhered the floral and leaf elements directly to the frame using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This creates a soft layered look with just the right amount of dimension while still keeping the card clean and elegant.
Next, I adhered a smaller panel of Basic White cardstock behind the floral frame to create a clean backdrop. Then I mounted that piece onto a larger Basic White panel for subtle layering and added texture with clean white-on-white dimension.
To add a little softness, I wrapped Baker’s Twine around the layered panel and tied it into a bow. I then adhered the entire panel to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals for added lift.
For the sentiment, I die cut Basic White cardstock using a Stylish Shapes Die and stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Black Ink. I popped the sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card and keep the focal point front and center. Don’t forget to add a little “bling”. I added a few of the NEW Array of Dots.
The color palette of Pretty In Pink, Pool Party, and Basic White gives this card a soft and elegant feel that works beautifully for a sweet thinking of you card, thank you card, or simple note to brighten someone’s day.
