Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Birthday Card

Greetings Stampers & Crafters. I’m back with the second card in this week’s Card Class Kit To Go featuring the beautiful Branching Out Bundle! This card is a festive twist on a birthday greeting, filled with texture, layers, and a pop of holiday-inspired color. Check out my Branching Out Birthday Card!

For this card, I started with a Real Red cardstock base. Then, I embossed a panel of Two-Tone Real Red cardstock with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. After embossing, I lightly sanded the raised areas with sandpaper to reveal some white accents — I just love how it adds depth and texture!

Next, I die cut Shaded Spruce and Basic White cardstock with the Branching Out label dies. I also cut out twigs from Real Red, Shaded Spruce, and Crumb Cake cardstock for a layered, dimensional effect. I die cut Real Red cardstock using the smallest Nested Essentials tag die for my sentiment label.

To bring a little softness to the background, I “flicked” a touch of Shaded Spruce onto the Basic White label using my Stampin’ Blend. I heat embossed my sentiment in white for that crisp, polished look. To finish it all off, I tied a double bow using Real Red and White Baker’s Twine and added a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins for that perfect touch of shimmer.

For the inside I added a strip of the embossed panel using same technique. Then I stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink!
