Stampin’ Up! Boardwalk Fun Birthday Card

Step right onto the boardwalk with today’s playful and colorful card featuring the Boardwalk Fun Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This design brings together bright colors, seaside charm, and dimensional details for a card that truly pops.

Boardwalk Fun Birthday Card Details

I started with a Basic White cardstock base. Then, I layered a piece of Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper onto Daffodil Delight cardstock to create a bright and cheerful background. To ground the scene, I added a strip of Country Woods Designer Series Paper along the bottom to mimic the look of a real boardwalk.

Next, I created the focal point using the Ferris Wheel dies. I die cut the wheel from both Basic White and Basic Black cardstock. After that, I trimmed the black piece to keep only the frame and layered it over the white wheel for added depth and contrast.

For the Ferris wheel cars, I die cut Basic White cardstock twice. Then I colored each car using Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Berry Burst, and Summer Splash. These bright colors give the wheel a fun, festive look. I adhered each car with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish the center of the wheel, I die cut a star from Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered it in the middle. This small detail adds a bold focal point. Next, I added tropical elements by die cutting palm trees from Basic White cardstock. I colored them with Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. These trees help bring the entire boardwalk scene to life.

For an extra detail, I fussy cut the arrow image directly from the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper. Then I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Ink. I adhered the Ferris wheel and sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals to add dimension. Meanwhile, I attached the palm trees with Multipurpose Liquid Glue for a secure hold.

Finally, I added Beach Boardwalk Puffy Stickers and Muted Palette Dots to give the card a bit of texture and shine.

Inside Card Details

For the inside I die cut one of the tickets from the Beach Boardwalk DSP. Then I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Ink and adhered it to a panel of Basic White card stock!
