Happy Tuesday Stampers & Crafters! Creating masculine cards can sometimes feel challenging, but the NEW Relaxing Waterside Bundle from Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy! Today’s card is part of this week’s Card Class To Go and features a peaceful lakeside-inspired design that is perfect for birthdays, Father’s Day, or any occasion for the guys in your life. I created the Relaxing Waterside Birthday Card – check it out!

Relaxing Waterside Birthday Card Details

For this quick and easy masculine birthday card, I used a calming color palette of Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, and Basic White. The beautiful Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper does most of the work with its relaxing outdoor patterns and soft watercolor imagery.

My card starts with a Misty Moonlight card stock base. I layered two coordinating patterns from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper onto a Basic White panel and adhered the combined layers to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

To create the focal point, I fussy cut the oars directly from the Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This is such an easy way to add detail and dimension without extra stamping!

Next, I cut angled strips from Misty Moonlight and Old Olive card stock to create a layered banner element behind the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink onto Basic White card stock. Then I punched a hole through all three strips, and tied them together with Linen Thread for a rustic finishing touch.

I popped the sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished the card with a few Dew Drop Embellishments because every card needs a little “bling”!

For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink. Then I added a strip of patterned DSP to finish it off!
