Stampin’ Up! Boardwalk Fun Greeting Card

Hello Stampers & Crafters! If you love tropical vibes with a bold pop of color, this final card in this week’s Card Class Kit To Go is going to be your favorite. Today’s design features the Boardwalk Fun Bundle and is inspired by a beautiful card created by Erica Cerwin from Pink Buckaroo Designs.

Boardwalk Fun Greeting Card Details

I started with a Pretty In Pink card base and layered a piece of Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock. This combination creates a rich, summery backdrop that instantly sets the tone. Next, I embossed a panel of Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Soft Waves Embossing Folder. This subtle texture adds depth while keeping the focus on the main design elements.

For the focal panel, I stamped a palm tree image onto Smoky Slate cardstock using Blackberry Bliss ink. To give the background a little extra interest, I flicked Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend ink across the panel for a soft splatter effect. Then comes the fun part—layering! I die cut palm trees from Pretty In Pink and Petunia Pop cardstock using the coordinating dies and arranged them over the stamped image. This creates dimension and gives the card that layered tropical look.

I die cut a tag from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Endless Love Tag die. Then I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with White Wow Embossing Powder. To anchor the sentiment, I added a Pretty In Pink arrow die cut with a strip of Basic White cardstock behind it. The sentiment was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals for added depth.

I layered everything onto the embossed Blackberry Bliss panel and then mounted it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card, I added Basic Grey and Smoky Slate pearls (retired). Plus a pretty Bubble Bath Faux Linen Ribbon bow. These final touches bring in just the right amount of texture and elegance.

Inside Carde Details

For the inside I matted a panel of Basic White card stock to Blackberry Bliss card stock. I stamped the Palm Tree in Blackberry Bliss Ink. Then I stamped it again for the lighter color. I stamped the diamond in Pretty In Pink Ink and called it a DAY!
