Stampin’ Up! Boardwalk Fun Enjoy The Ride Card

This week’s Card Class To Go is all about summer fun! Today I’m sharing the first card in the series featuring the Boardwalk Fun Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

This card captures the feeling of a warm evening at the boardwalk, complete with a roller coaster silhouette, palm trees, and a soft blended sunset background. It’s the perfect design for summer birthdays, celebrations, or just sending a cheerful note.

Boardwalk Fun Card Details

I started with a Basic Black cardstock base to create a bold frame for the design. Next, I cut a pattern from the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper. I enhanced the lower portion using Petunia Pop Ink with a Blending Brush. This simple technique adds depth and gives the appearance of a glowing sunset behind the scene.

For the roller coaster and palm trees I stamped them in Tuxedo Black Ink directly onto the DSP. This creates a striking silhouette effect. Next I die cut the roller coaster cars along with star accents using Petunia Pop and Pretty In Pink cardstock. Next I popped up the stars with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Them I adhered the roller coaster cars with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

For the focal point, I die cut a ticket shape from the Beach Boardwalk DSP using the coordinating die. The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink, tying in perfectly with the silhouetted elements of the card. To finish the design, I added a double bow using Black Baker’s Twine, which adds just the right amount of texture and contrast.

For the inside I added a bit of the pretty DSP. To finish the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Beach Time Stamp Set in Petunia Pop Ink.
