Welcome back to the second card in this week’s Card Class To Go featuring the Brushed With Beauty Suite. Today’s project showcases a soft and elegant color palette of Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and Crumb Cake. This combination adds a warm, romantic feel to the beautiful florals and coordinating dies.

Brushed With Beauty Birthday Card Details

My card base starts with Calypso Coral, creating a bold and cheerful backdrop. I mounted a pattern of the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper to a panel of Petal Pink card stock and adhered it to the card base. The subtle pattern and soft layering allow the focal pieces to really shine.

Next, I die cut Vellum Specialty Paper with the leaf dies from the Petals of Beauty Dies and adhered them to the card front. The vellum adds just the right amount of delicate texture without overwhelming the design. Note: OK to use Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the Vellum it will not show through!

For the sentiment, I used the “because” dies from the Words of Beauty Dies, cutting the layers in both Calypso Coral and Petal Pink. After adhering them together, I attached the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for added depth. I also die cut Petal Pink card stock with one of the label dies from the Words of Beauty Dies and stamped the coordinating sentiment in Calypso Coral ink. This piece was popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.

To finish the card front, I added a few Pearls of Beauty in Crumb Cake for a soft shimmer and just a hint of bling. I love how these simple touches bring the whole design together.

For the inside I added a strip of the Brushed With Beauty DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set (On Last Chance List) in Calypso Coral Ink.
