Stampin’ Up! Garden Gatherings Birthday Card

Happy Monday Stampers & Crafters! After spending the the last two weeks creating Christmas cards for my Christmas in July series, it felt so refreshing to fill my craft room with beautiful blooms again! Today I’m excited to officially kick off this week’s Garden Gatherings Card Class Kit To Go. I’m featuring the gorgeous Garden Gatherings Bundle. For today’s card, I chose a soft and sophisticated color palette featuring Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight, and Flirty Flamingo. The Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper creates a dreamy watercolor-inspired backdrop that allows the floral arrangements to take center stage.

To add texture, I embossed a strip of Petal Pink cardstock with the Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder before layering it across the bottom of the card. Next, I die cut two decorative vases from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper. Then I filled them with stamped flowers in Pretty Peacock, Daffodil Delight, and Flirty Flamingo. The coordinating dies make cutting out each floral arrangement quick and effortless.

The birthday greeting was heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on a Pretty Peacock banner, creating a bold contrast against the soft background. I finished the design with a double Linen Thread bow and a few Array of Dots embellishments for just the right amount of sparkle. I love how this card combines soft florals, rich color, and plenty of texture into a design that’s elegant enough for a special birthday while still being simple enough to recreate.
