Stampin’ Up! Relaxing Waterside Greeting Card

Happy Monday Stampers & Crafters! There’s just something about a peaceful waterfront sunset that instantly makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper… and that’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture with today’s card featuring the NEW Relaxing Waterside Retreat Bundle from Stampin’ Up! My inspirations is my Red Adirondack chairs on my dock! (See pic at end of post)! Check out my Relaxing Waterside Greeting Card.

Relaxing Waterside Greeting Card Details

For this week’s Card Class To Go, I paired the gorgeous Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper with a bold color palette of Blueberry Bushel, Real Red, and Balmy Blue to create a relaxing coastal-inspired card perfect for summer crafting.

My card starts with a Blueberry Bushel card base. I layered a stunning sunset pattern from the Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper onto Basic White card stock. To create the look of a weathered dock, I embossed a strip of Basic White cardstock using the Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it across the bottom portion of the card.

The focal point of the card is the adorable Adirondack-style chair created with the chair dies from the Relaxing Waterside Retreat Bundle. I die cut the base, back, and arms from Real Red cardstock and assembled the pieces using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The bright red chair really pops against the dreamy sunset background!

For the finishing touches, I stamped and colored the cup and book images using Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blends before die cutting them with the coordinating dies. I also added a sweet little seagull stamped in Balmy Blue Ink and die cut it to coordinate perfectly with the coastal theme.

The sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Bushel Ink, fussy cut, and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals along with the other accent pieces for extra dimension. And of course… every handmade card needs a little sparkle! I finished the card with a few 2025–2027 In Color Flat Pearls for just the right amount of “bling.”
