Stamp It Group Thanksgiving Blog Hop

Fall crafting is in full swing, and I couldn’t resist creating this cozy Thanksgiving card for our Team Stamp It Blog Hop! I’m Ann Verillo and you are visiting my blog at Stamp With Ann! In today’s project I used the beautiful Gathering Moments Bundle paired with the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper to capture all the warmth and gratitude this season brings.

My color palette is a fall favorite — Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Early Espresso. I love these colors together, plus the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper it just gorgeous!

To add extra texture and depth, I used two fun techniques:

Distressed edges – I gently roughed up the edges of the Cajun Craze cardstock with my paper snips for that rustic, handmade look.
Emboss & sand technique – After embossing my Crushed Curry Two-Tone cardstock with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder, I lightly sanded the raised design to reveal the white underneath. It’s such an easy way to make the details pop!

I die cut a tag with the Textured Notes Dies and stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze Ink. Then I stamped the different leaves in Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso Ink. To finish the front of the card, I layered the Gathering Together DSP to a Cajun Craze panel. Then added an Old Olive Linen bow and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot. Now you can’t forget a little “bling” – I added a few Cajun Craze & Gold Dots for the perfect finishing touch.

For the inside I added a little more color. First I added some Crushed Curry to the center of the panel with a Blending Brush. Then I stamped the sentiment with Cajun Craze Ink. I also stamped a few leaves with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry Ink to finish the card!

Crushed Curry – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4
Crushed Curry Two Tone – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
Cajun Craze – 4 x 5 1/4 & 2 3/8 x 3 7/8
Basic White – 1 x 2 1/2 & 1 1/2 x 4 1/2
